FAQ

COMPANY

Q:  What is Plastic Surgery Review?
A:  Plastic Surgery Review is an online community for people looking to find reviews for plastic and cosmetic surgeons worldwide while also being able to learn about procedures, watch videos, read the latest industry news, and find deals in their area.

Q:  Is Plastic Surgery Review free to use?
A:

Yes! As a visitor or patient looking to find information, everything on the site is free.

Q:  Why Should I use Plastic Surgery Review over other socially driven sites?
A:  The plastic surgery industry is a small community of people with a similar interest. Undergoing cosmetic surgery may be a big decision for many. The more information you have, the better off you’ll be. We are a dedicated community giving users the opportunity to find surgeon reviews, learn about procedures, watch videos, and find deals in their area.

Q:  Should I rely on Plastic Surgery Review ratings as my only resource of health care information?
A:  Absolutely not. The perspectives of our users, while valuable, are no substitute for the advice of a qualified professional.

Q:  How do I get in touch with someone at Plastic Surgery Review?
A:  We can be contacted by e-mail or through our Contact page.

REVIEWS

Q:  Are reviews selectively placed?

A:  Reviews on Plastic Surgery Review are not filtered. As long as the reviews don’t contain profane language or inappropriate material, they are all posted. Reviews of Sponsored Listings and non-Sponsored Listings are treated identically. Good reviews or bad reviews, you’ll find unfiltered opinions on Plastic Surgery Review. If you have any questions or complaints, please Contact Us.

Q:  Does Plastic Surgery Review allow Cosmetic Surgeons and health professionals to advertise?
A:  Plastic Surgery Review does allow companies and professionals to advertise in the form of a discount to members. Service companies and health professionals are not obligated to advertise, nor does their decision to advertise affect their Plastic Surgery Review rating. If you have any questions about our advertising policies, email us at Info@PlasticSurgeryReview.com

Q:  Will Plastic Surgery Review edit the reviews I post?
A:  Plastic Surgery Review does not edit reviews posted by our members. We use proprietary technology and human approval to make sure that all reports meet our guidelines before they're posted. If they don't, we'll go back to the member with questions and clarification before posting. Check out our terms and conditions for more.  By checking reports before they're visible to other members, we're able to screen out service companies and health professionals who are self-reporting, or people who are trying to report repeatedly on the same company.

Q:  What is the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and how does it affect members who give reports?
A:  HIPAA was enacted in 1996 to ensure standardization and protection of patient data.  Any member who submits a report related to their health care issues is free to do so; his/her identity is available only to Plastic Surgery Review and the provider being reported on.

Q:  Can health providers respond to member reports?
A:  We encourage all providers to review and respond to their reports. However, health care providers operate under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), which is intended to protect patient privacy. As a result, any responses they submit will not be detailed, and members should bear this in mind when reviewing their ratings.

A:  What is the Plastic Surgery Review online content comment policy?
Plastic Surgery Review appreciates comments. The comments we receive on our blogs, tips or magazine articles are just as important as the content we publish, and provide everyone with the opportunity to add their voice to the conversation at hand.  Spam, sales pitches and irrelevant comments will be deleted. We want lively discussions about consumer issues. You don't have to be eloquent or even a good speller – just interested in the discussion and willing to share.
